A win/win way to recruit in Silicon Valley :

  • The race for talent in SV is Highly competitive.
  • Companies like Facebook and Google and some Startups, offer incredible compesations packages that include access to stocks and other benefits. ( I’ve had the opportunity to work in that system at Merck & Cois an excellent system ).

SV’s Personality

I found some answers on Quora about personality of the residents, workers and entrepreneurs, and vary, as elsewhere in the world, there is no perfect world, but, here a good one :

The Startups Culture in SV

According with Quora, a comparison the Startups culture between NYC and SV  :

  • NYC startups tend to be focused more on the business whereas the Valley is focused more on the What If…?
  • SV is the first city in U.S. in number of Startups, which shows us the entrepreneurial culture in this part of the world.

Blogs,Blogging & Bloggers

mayo 29, 2012

I am reading the book by David Meerman Scott “The New Rules of Marketing & PR” – third edition, he writes in one of its chapters about us bloggers and our world.

So I decided to write a little post about our world..

I think all of us, in contrast, the NON-Blog, we are communicators for excellence in a different way, writing or speaking, we show our own experiences or things that fascinate us..

Technology helps us communicate more and more, something that is surprising is that those people within them have or had the skills of journalists, but for various reasons, either because they are timid in real life or not find the “issue” could not communicate with the blogosphere.

Now many of those we called timid, are amazing bloggers and of them we learn a lot from them.

Blogger not be determined how many blog we post – If you have other opinion please let me know maybe i need improve more -Thank You!

This is how committed we are to the world “outsite” waiting for something interesting to share with others.

I also think it’s part of being responsible and not “play” with our target audience, have a responsibility to schedule in our daily walk and pause to share our ideas.

Many people make money with blogs, but as an expert once said in an email: JC, everything is step by step, first started as an amateur and then professional and then expert…well now I’m Amateur..

Many times we get frustrated and say that “no one” “follow me”..Ok.. ask ourselves, as did I, I am writing the right topic?, I’m writing an interesting topic?, I’m helping, to the blogosphere? My Template is serious, for my audience?

When we find the answers is then that our blog will change…

something I always keep in mind is to accept positive and negative comments, that’s what we are exposed, then the negative things Let’s get the very best to make them a new weapon to communicate.

Blogfriend hope you like my post I am not an expert in social media and I’m starting  in the blogosphere, I bought the book “WordPress” for Dummies by Lisa Sabin-Wilson , I’m not be afraid to read it .. 🙂

Remember :  If no one follows you…Another will follow you

CVS : Convenience, Value and Service

abril 27, 2012

I always wondered which means CVS ?…I was browsing the net, I found the answer:

“CVS” stands for “Convenience, Value and Service”, But It Used To stand for “Consumer Value Stores”.

Interesting .. Ah?

Today I write my blog about CVS, because I am a regular customer and also in my personal opinion is more varied than Walgreens, or simply that I like much more buy in CVS…maybe…

I have 3  CVS stores preferred Boylston St. in Boston, in Newton Center, and Walnut St. in   Newtonville, possibly because they are the places I most frequent.

But once I was at a CVS in NYC and Florida in many more, attention was always very good.

If you watch the shops, are more varied than Walgreens, in many ways, I think the attention of employees is vital in business.

Again we return to the rule that the basis for all organizations, large and small are the employees.

In my personal experience and I have always had very good experiences in CVS.

Each month that you buy, you can view your accumulated points per season, Summer, Spring, Winter, Fall, and I often had free products…Soaps, Deodorants, Chocolates, etc..

Many times we think to have a CVS card points ( Extra Care ), if we analyze are only 5 seconds it out of our wallet or much easier even if you have it on your key chain may only be 2 seconds.
Easy, then get your “reward”..

What I saw in CVS is also the diversity of genders and races there, which makes an organization more open to the globalized world.

Not saying that other companies do not, but many have that “improvement area” within.

Well , again I try put my experience with my personal opinion and share a good experience in CVS….  Pays You Back

Hope You Like My Post
